Ozync
OZYNC VS WAITWHILE

A Waitwhile Alternative Made for Salons

Waitwhile is a good general-purpose waitlist: it runs lines for clinics, government offices, retail and restaurants, and it does the queue well. A salon is not a generic line. Clients wait for a particular stylist, need to sign a waiver for a colour service, want to book next time online, and pay at the end. Ozync is a waitlist with all of that built in, priced flat per location instead of by tier.

Free for your first 100 clients. Then $15/mo billed annually, or $20 month to month. No commission, no per-booking fees.

Where they differ

Waitwhile's plans change; check waitwhile.com for the current tiers. Compared in October 2026. The point is scope: Waitwhile is the line, priced by how many people go through it; Ozync is the salon's front desk with the line inside it, priced flat.

What a salon needs around the line

  • A client who waited for Maria gets Maria. Per-stylist queues are the default, not a configuration.
  • The waiver for a colour or wax service comes up at check-in and is signed on the kiosk.
  • Mark her served and the checkout opens: services, tip, card, text receipt.
  • She books her next visit on your website, with a deposit if you want one.
  • Her visits, signed forms and payments are one client record, and a wallet pass in your colour.

What Waitwhile does that Ozync doesn't

Waitwhile serves industries Ozync does not: clinics, DMVs, retail pickup, events. It has an API and integrations for enterprise deployments. If you are not a salon, barbershop, spa or studio, Waitwhile is probably the better fit. Ozync is salon software, and says so.

Moving over

  1. 1Create your business in Ozync and add your services, staff and hours, about ten minutes. Import your client list from a CSV export.
  2. 2Put the kiosk on a tablet at the door and the TV display on the wall; walk-ins are handled from day one.
  3. 3Publish your Ozync website and point your Instagram and Google Business Profile booking link at it.
  4. 4Keep your old account live until the bookings have moved; nothing in Ozync depends on cancelling it.
