Sell online from your own page
- 1Switch on Sell gift cards online and pick your quick-pick amounts ($25, $50, $100, whatever fits your menu).
- 2Share the link, put its QR code at the counter, add it to your Instagram bio and Google listing. Your Ozync website gets a Gift cards button automatically.
- 3A buyer picks an amount, adds the recipient's name and a message, and pays by card. The money lands in your Stripe account like any other card payment.
- 4The recipient gets the card by email, with a QR code and a short code, and can add it to Apple or Google Wallet.
Issue at the counter
Take payment however you normally do, cash included, then issue the card: amount, who it is for, and optionally their email and a message. With an email the card is sent on the spot; without one, the card's link and QR are on the page to share any way you like. Pick the recipient from your client list and the card attaches to them, so it shows on their wallet pass.
Redeem at checkout
- Type the short code from the client's card, or point the app's camera at the QR on their phone.
- Enter the amount to take off. Whatever is left stays on the card for next time.
- Every card's history, issued, redeemed, remaining, is in the list, and the tiles at the top show your unused balance and active cards.
- Two tills cannot spend the same balance twice; each redemption is checked against the card's current balance.
Credit, coupons and loyalty, on the same pass
- Credit: a make-good for a visit that went wrong or a referral thank-you. Pick the client, enter the amount and a reason. Spent at checkout exactly like a gift card.
- Coupons: a one-time discount for one client, with an occasion and an expiry, delivered by email with the Marketing add-on.
- Loyalty rewards: 'every N visits, a reward of X', issued as credit automatically on the Nth visit.
- All of it adds up on the client's Apple or Google Wallet pass, so they always know what they have with you.
What it costs
Gift cards are part of Ozync Pro; there is no gift card fee and no per-card charge. Online sales are card payments through your Stripe account at Stripe's rate plus 20¢; salons on Square use Stripe for this one. Counter-issued cards cost nothing at all. Cards never expire.
