Promo codes
A promo code is one code anyone can type on the last step of online booking: WELCOME10, SPRING20, whatever you print. Percent or amount off, with an optional expiry, a maximum number of uses, and a minimum service total. Ozync checks it on the server, counts each use, and applies the discount at checkout too, so the appointment settles for the discounted price. Switch a code off to pause it without deleting it.
A promo code is shared. For a one-time discount for one client, a birthday, a referral, an apology, use a coupon from the Clients page instead; it has its own link and works once.
Packages
- 1Add a package under Services: a name, a price, the services it includes and how many of each, and how many days it stays valid (or no expiry).
- 2Sell it at the counter by adding it at checkout like a service, or online by turning on Sell on your public packages page. The client pays by card and gets a text with their credits.
- 3At checkout, enter the client's phone number. Their remaining credits appear and are applied to matching services before tax.
Memberships
- Billed monthly or yearly by card through your Stripe account. Renewals are automatic; Ozync keeps the membership current.
- Give members a percentage off every service, included visits each period, or both.
- Sold on your public packages page. At checkout, the member's phone number brings up their discount and included visits.
- See who owns what on the Clients page under Plans.
Why phone number
Every walk-in checks in with a phone number, every booking carries one, and so does every package and membership. That is why redeeming needs no card, no app and no account: the client says their number, or it is already on their waitlist row, and the credits and discounts are there. It is the same number that matches their gift cards and wallet pass.
What it costs
Promo codes, packages and memberships are part of Ozync Pro. Online sales of packages and memberships need a connected Stripe account and are charged at Stripe's rate plus 20¢; counter sales of packages work without Stripe. Promo codes apply to bookings and checkout, not to package or membership purchases.
