Where they differ
StyleSeat's plans and fees change; check styleseat.com for the current details. Checked 31 October 2026. The structural difference is the fee model and the walk-in: StyleSeat is a per-pro plan plus fees on the clients and revenue its marketplace brings; Ozync is a flat price per location, with no fee on any client, and a kiosk, queue and TV for the ones who walk in.

Why a flat price matters for a braiding salon or barbershop
- Your new clients come from Instagram, referrals and the street, not a marketplace. In Ozync nobody takes a cut of their first visit.
- A braiding salon runs on walk-ins between the long appointments. The kiosk puts a walk-in in Maria's queue; the TV shows the order; a text brings her back when the chair is free.
- A deposit at booking protects a four-hour service; the client agrees to the cancellation policy before she pays.
- Unlimited staff at no extra cost, and one login for several locations, each priced flat.
- Your website is on your own domain, with booking, gift cards and a chat built in, so the client never sees anyone else's brand.
What StyleSeat does that Ozync doesn't
StyleSeat is a marketplace: it spends on ads and search placement so clients who have never heard of you find your profile, and it charges you when they book. It also bundles email and text marketing, Smart Pricing and a text-based AI assistant into the base plan. If you are a solo pro building a book from nothing and want a marketplace to fill it, StyleSeat is built for that. Ozync does not run a marketplace; its marketing is an add-on, and its strength is the shop floor: the kiosk, the queue, the TV, the waiver, and the checkout on your own processor.
Moving over
- 1Create your business in Ozync and add your services, staff and hours, about ten minutes. Import your client list from a CSV export.
- 2Put the kiosk on a tablet at the door and the TV display on the wall; walk-ins are handled from day one.
- 3Publish your Ozync website and point your Instagram and Google Business Profile booking link at it.
- 4Keep your old account live until the bookings have moved; nothing in Ozync depends on cancelling it.
