PIERCING STUDIOS

Piercing Studio Software: the Consent Form, the Line and the Booking on One iPad

A piercing studio runs on two things: a signed consent form for every client and a line that moves. Ozync puts both on the iPad at your counter. The client types their name and phone, reads your consent, answers your health questions, signs with a finger, and is on the list for their piercer. The signed PDF lands on their record the same second, and when the piercer is ready the client gets a text. Booked appointments, deposits, checkout and gift cards run from the same account.

Free for your first 100 clients. Then $15/mo billed annually, or $20 month to month. No per-booking fees.

Your consent form, signed before anyone picks up a needle

  • Your wording, not a template you cannot change: age confirmation, allergies to metals and anaesthetics, blood conditions, medications, pregnancy, recent alcohol, aftercare acknowledgement, photo consent.
  • Yes/no, pick-one and free-text questions, with every answer stored next to the signature.
  • Signed with a finger on the screen, timestamped, filed as a PDF on the client's record and emailed to the studio and the client.
  • One template per service group if you want it: ear and nose on one form, dermal and genital work on a stricter one. Each template is linked to its services, so the right form comes up.
  • Records are never deleted. A form signed three years ago is still there with the exact text that was signed.

Walk-ins by piercer

After signing, the client picks their piercer, or first available, and is on the list. Each piercer sees their own queue on their phone, marks a client served when they are done, and the next one gets a text. Put the queue on a TV in the front so the room can see the order without asking the desk.

Busy Saturdays, back-to-school weeks and mall foot traffic: the kiosk takes a line of forty with nobody at the counter, and every one of them has signed.

Clients join from their phone too

A QR sign at the door or on the window lets a client join the list and sign the form from their own phone while they browse jewelry or wait outside. No app to download. The same record, the same list.

Booked appointments with a deposit

For appointments, online booking on your Ozync site takes a deposit on the last step, a flat amount or a percentage, with your policy and a box the client must tick. The deposit comes off the bill at checkout. The consent form is sent with the booking, so it is signed before the appointment, not during it.

Checkout, aftercare and gift cards

  • Checkout at the counter: Tap to Pay on iPhone, an Ozync terminal, or your Square or Clover. Jewelry and the service on one bill, tips, text receipts, refunds.
  • With the Marketing add-on, a review request after the visit and a rebooking text when it is time for the downsize.
  • Gift cards sold from your site and at the counter, redeemed by code or QR.
  • A wallet pass in the client's Apple or Google Wallet with their visits, gift balance and next appointment.
  • A client record per phone number: every piercing, every signed form, every payment.

What Ozync is not

Ozync does not verify age or check IDs for you; the form records the client's confirmation and your staff check the ID as they do now. It is not a jewelry inventory system. It is the counter: the form, the line, the booking and the payment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can piercing clients sign the consent form on an iPad?

Yes. They read your consent, answer the health questions, sign with a finger, and the PDF with every answer and the time goes on their record and is emailed to you both.

Is a digital piercing consent form legally valid?

Electronic signatures are recognised in the US under ESIGN and UETA, and Ozync keeps the full text, the answers, the signature and the timestamp. The wording of the consent itself is yours; have it reviewed for your state.

Can I use different forms for different piercings?

Yes. Keep as many templates as you like, each linked to its services, so the stricter form comes up for the work that needs it.

Does it handle walk-ins by piercer?

Yes. After signing, the client picks a piercer or first available. Each piercer has their own queue and marks clients served from their phone; the next client gets a text.

Can clients join from their phone?

Yes. They scan a QR sign at the door, join the list and sign the form on their own phone. No app.

Can I take deposits for appointments?

Yes. A flat amount or a percentage on the last step of online booking, through your Stripe account, taken off the bill at checkout.

How long are signed consent forms kept?

Forever. Nothing is deleted, and each PDF keeps the exact text that was signed.

What does Ozync cost?

Free for your first 100 clients with no card, then $15 a month billed annually or $20 month to month. One plan with everything; no per-booking fees or commission.

What hardware do I need?

The iPad or Android tablet you already have for the kiosk, and any TV with a browser or a Fire TV Stick for the display. Ready-to-go kiosks and terminals are optional one-time purchases.
